This kit produces a beer with a pale straw colour and a white head, with a clean aroma featuring hints of vanilla. Pretty good, but it needs more

Overall, this was a pretty good. I made it with 2 lbs of table sugar, and it turned out a little bitter and cidery (because of the table sugar). I am not sure how it would turn out with 1Kg of Dextrose, but I assume it would still be a little bitter. I think it would have been much, much better by using 2 lbs of Dry Malt Extract or Liquid Malt Extract instead of sugar or dextrose. I purchased a few other of these beer kits, and I purchased some LME on another site, and it is bubbling in my carboy now. All in all, this is a fine kit if you want to reduce your boil time and don't want to fuss around with recipes.
