Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape varietal known for its thick, durable skin, and the vine’s resistance to the elements. After the birth of the grape, the Cabernet Sauvignon varietal began to be adopted in parts of France by winemakers searching for more durable plants that were relatively easy to grow, and the grape found its champion in the region of Bordeaux.
Taste: Aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, black cherry and blackberry, as well as vegetal notes of green bell pepper and mint, together with vanilla and spice from oak.

United StatesAlcohol is never what they say it is.
I have been buying these kits for a long time and none of them are at the alcohol level that they claim to be. They are always lower than they claim to be by 2 or 3 percent. I always have to add 2-3 cups of sugar to bring the potential alcohol up to 12%.

CanadaWine Snobs Fooled!
This was the first Crafted Series kit I made and we loved it. I have a couple of bottles waiting to age a year or two to see how they stand the test of time. I have served this to friends of mine that are what I consider wine snobs, who really enjoyed it, and were fooled by the Cabernet Sauvignon bottle I decanted it from, believing it was a wine from France. Does this means that wine snobs don't know what they are talking about, or the wine from the kit is really great? I thought it was really good.
