Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape varietal known for its thick, durable skin, and the vine’s resistance to the elements. After the birth of the grape, the Cabernet Sauvignon varietal began to be adopted in parts of France by winemakers searching for more durable plants that were relatively easy to grow, and the grape found its champion in the region of Bordeaux.

Difficulty with fermentation

I received a replacement kit for the one with poor results. I carefully followed the instructions for the first step and at the end still did not see an fermentation taking place. I tested it at the end of the 2 week 1st step and it tested at 0% alcohol. I am trying to see if clarifying the liquid and adding additional yeast over the next 2 weeks will produce a level of alcohol.

Medium Cabernet Sauvignon

Always comes out great. I add oak chips, raisins, and elderberries. Ferment for 3 weeks instead of 2. Everyone who has tried it loves it.
